Woody's Report 21 Jun 2006 23:47

Good this afternoon but went in again at 7.30pm and her wound had bled badly. She's in a lot of pain but they need the bed. I could take her home tomorrow but have told them I can't, so hopefully they'll transfer her to one of the Skye Hospitals till Monday. It's still a lot for someone of 76 and this is too soon to send her home. Whenever she goes home I'll be staying for a week so no PC! Many thanks everyone for your good wishes.

Hope she gets well soon! You're right it does sound too soon for her to go home especially if the wound is bleeding. Hope all goes well. xxx

Thanks Mags. It was gallbladder op and done via keyhole surgery, but it's still a big op in that they do a lot of 'pulling about' internally. I know a guy had the op in March and a week after he got home collapsed one night, his neighbour heard a noise and called ambulance. He was in for another 2 weeks as wound was infected. He's late fifties and very fit - she's 76 and very unfit! Hospital's really very busy though and really pushed for beds, I'll see what tomorrow brings.

Good Luck, lets hope they do transfer her, as you say she is a little older and its harder to get over these things. x

Much better, thanks. She's being transferred today to Broadford on Skye. I'll pick her up on Monday afternoon and take her home, so will be away all next week. No computer - cold turkey!!!!!!
