Before I took a trip to South America a few years ago, I found something in Boots called an Aspivenin for insect bites. It works by creating a vacuum over the bite & sucks the venom out through the hole created by the bite. I know it sounds horrible, but it does work. It provides instant relief from itching & is good in emergencies, especially if you know you react badly to bites. It costs around £15, but is permanently reusable and drug-free. I personally recommend it & never go on holiday without it now. Carole
