Well, I was at Monkey World today and they had this beautiful Gibbon there making a bit of a racket - apparently it's her song and she is singing to attract a mate! When a mate hears her 'singing' he knows she's available and ready for action! You need to start singing for a man - although I'm not sure Whoop Whoop Whoop and other high pitched sounds would work on Humans - but you never know? lol So get singing and loudly so all the Men KNOW you are available! Well swinging might help??? It works for the Gibbons that's for sure. Come on now - one, two, three 'whoop, whoop, whoop' - they'll never know you're there if you don't tell them ;-))) Kaye x

You're obviously not singing the right song then! lol It was funny though because as soon as I heard why she making such a lot of noise I thought of you - in a nice way of course. Maybe you need to get in touch with your monkey side. lol Kaye x

Are gibbons the ones with red hair - if so invest in some Garnier Belle Colour - a fetching shade of Titian Red should do it.....don't leave it too long or you'll end up like a Belisha Beacon (sp).... If a gibbon is the one with the huge red bottom that they wriggle in the face of the male......I don't think I can help you on that one......but best avoided in the middle of Tescos on a Friday night.....

Oooh - I think my Dorset Meet Thread has been Phantom Nudged? There are no new replies on it, but it's been nudged up from pages back. Good reminder though as I have to go and check out a venue tomorrow. Anne - you can have my Man if you want, says he doesn't mind either. lol Kaye x

Sally - no lol Gibbons are the ones with really long arms and tails and they swing thru the cage by their tails - normally black with a white face ..................... The others you described tho sound a bit like some of my ex's lolol

Sally - the Gibbons are not the ones with Red hair, think you mean Orangutans (spelling) and also their bums aren't like a lot of the other monkeys. The Gibbons were actually really, really pretty and enjoyed all the attention too. Kaye x

Phoenix

Phoenix Report 30 Jun 2006 19:18

That's right and they 'sing' duets too - I think they're so sweet. They had lots of baby monkeys and some gorgeous, very young orangutans - I could have brought one home with me, they're so much nicer than human babies. lol I've been there about three times now as it's only down the road - it's such a great place isn't it.
