I dont personnally but I went to film my son at a gig last week and I couldnt believe the way all the youngsters hug each other. Where did that all come from, I have never been one for that sort of thing. Only close relatives. My brother always kisses me on the cheek and I always kiss my mum and daughters.

If I know they like to hug or if they come towards me with open arms I hug but I'm quite shy so I wouldn't hug unless I was sure they wanted me too. Chrissie x

Very touchy/feely but have learnt restraint. It's true, not everyone likes it so I am careful not to offend. Susan

It really depends on how tiddly I am!!! I'm normally one to judge the situation.....and play safe with handshake etc but when I'm stotting about at 3am after girly night out then I JUST LOVE EVERYBODY AND THEY ALL NEED HUGS AND KISSES AND TOLD HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM ALL.........INCLUDING THE LOCAL BOBBY!!!! ~:-)))))) I have to also add that because my hubby is from one of the largest families in the area.....most tend to relatives-in-law and know what I'm like when I go out and have got used to me by now!!!! RDA.x.

Yes its really awful if you hug someone, and they stand there like a log of wood.......have learned to back off, and read body language more........our family including in-laws always hug and kiss each other. I have noticed it more in the younger ones......I don't know if it is a trend now.......

Janetx

Janetx Report 2 Jul 2006 11:59

LOL....Sally....There is nothing worse than trying to comfort someone when they are upset and they dont know how to deal with it...Me i take all the comfort I can get....Hey I live with 4 males...lol

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 2 Jul 2006 11:59

I really like how a lot of the younger men hug when they greet each other. I think it is a trend but I like it. Maybe we are becoming more open with each other. Susan

More reserved, I'm not the first to offer a kiss, unless to family when haven't seen them for a while, but don't like people to kiss me on lips, thats reserved for hubby only.!

Sally Moonchild

Sally Moonchild Report 2 Jul 2006 12:28
