Adam & Danion, hi, nice to meet you both, please don't take this wrong, (never been very good with words) but does it matter if your new or been using some one elses account, it is the person who counts, yes we are a nosey lot, we see some one new and want to know personal things, it's your right to say I prefer not to answer that, some times if there is a meet going on, we like to know where you live so as to invite you and try to make you feel part of the big mostly happy family, just like real life we do have our moments....lol, as I was not on last night I don't know about any one being called a WUM-Wind Up Merchant...but if you did nothing wrong, maybe some one called you it (in all inocence) as a joke if you were jokingly winding some one up, the thing is we can't see each others faces, so we can't see the cheeky glint in some ones eyes, well enough from me, and once again welcome. I just need to say cos i havent done my family tree yet I'm not out to cause any trouble! I've used the site a lot for research but simply havent had time to do it! I ask where peeps are from etc cos I'm interested to know more about such a nice group of people and to put flesh on the bones so to speak. Welcome everyone!!! Cazxxx

I would also be interested to know why 'Adam Swindell' is your board name, but obviously not your real name? There is only one Adam Swindell listed on this site, and he is not assigned to your tree, or that of your sister either (unless of course your sister is called David). Mandy :)

Adam & Damion The problem is that several people have created accounts just to cause trouble or because they have been suspended or banned. To be honest, I wonder myself why people like yourselves join a family history site like this - where the aim is to make connections through family trees - and then don't add people to your tree. I was on here for a while before joining in on this board - and a lot of other people say the same thing - but you are apparently new members who seem quite comfortable adding already. I'm not accusing you of not being who you say you are but trying to help you understand why people might seem suspicious, wary or even hostile.

Adam, Calm down sweetheart, it really isn't worth it. Obviously, someone has inferred that you are a wum ... but since I and others can't see anything on the boards, then it must have been by PM. Just ignore the person who has called you a WUM and enjoy your stay. (Incidently, at this point I should point out that it is against rules to 'share' accounts ...) If your NOT a newbie, then why did you not point that out last night ??? when so many people went out there way to meet and greet you ... ? Elaine ;-)

he hasnt said when he was called a wum. it could have been by message as he hasnt mentioned his thread. can i just say that i felt i was under suspicion and scrutiny when i joined too. within seconds of posting i had people mentioning my age and where i come from i might have wanted it kept private but i felt invaded by certain members. i did recieve a message asking if i was new or ressurected too. i am new. but feel i wont be around too long.

if you've been using your sister's account for a while you'll know that the easiest way to start an argument on this board is to say you've been called a WUM and yet you aren't one! If you aren't spoiling for an argument you'll delete this before it gets out of hand!! I hope you have fun on the boards xx
