Which do you prefer on a female/woman/lady ? Hairdresser coming round tonight, and have been growing my hair for nearly 2 yrs now. Family tell me to leave it long, friends say have it cut again (always used to have it very short) Not sure what to do, as although I love to see ladies with longish hair, I am a Gemini and can't be 'bothered' with it ... I'm a brush and go sort of person .. What should I do ????? Elaine ;-) MIGHT go with the majority ...! |

Just a personal opinion but I think long hair belongs to the young. After a certain age it looks 'wrong', with a few notable exceptions. I had my very long hair cut off when I was 22. Gwynne |

What suits you better? Have 5 times been to a new hairdresser with longish hair and said they could do what they wanted...... all of them have cut it chort rather than style it long!! hence now have short hair as they all think it suits my face better!! |

I used to have long hair but it was so much trouble I got it all chopped off years ago. Now it's takes me10 minutes to wash AND dry. Will never have long hair again . |

I agree with Gwynne, but I've got very shiny fine hair and if I keep it short it looks like the dishmop so I keep it long and twirled up in a bun. Only time I ever let it hang loose is when I wash it! Cherryxx |

Women look better, in general, with long hair, IMHO, but of course there are exceptions. |

I would keep it long. I have been growing mine for four years and asked my family recently if I should have it cut again and they all said no, so long it is for me for a while longer. M. |

Elaine, I always regretted having mine cut short because you can do so much with long hair. I had to wash mine a lot, so short hair seemed the best option. Every time I decide to grow it, I get so far and it looks scruffy, so I have to have it cut again. You could give it a try short, and always grow it again, but you must go through that ratty awful middle stage for a few months..... |

I think its down to yourself really, do you suit it short or long, or both. Mine is just past my shoulders now and Im nearly 50, when it was short everyone said I looked very harsh, now its long everyone said I look like a little girl, so it depends really. I would never have mine short again, I love tying it up etc. My partner likes long hair anyway. Regards Yvonne |
