Hi Kaye, Thank you for chatting to bro-in-law, and thank him from me too. We are on North Staffordshire btw. I'll go through the Yellow Pages tomorrow and find a little man. Liz x

Ok - good luck. I asked where you were by the way because if you had been down here he would have done it for you (and probably given you a discount) and if you had been in the High Wycombe area his Cousin owns a Domestic Appliance Shop there and does repairs. We had a Zanussi Frige Freezer which packed up less than a week out of Guarantee - I phoned them in the hope that they would at least help with the cost of repair and they gave us a brand new one free of charge! Our Zanussi Washing machine has had it's pumps replaced more than once and that's about 6 years old now. They aren't as good as the likes of Bosch these days. Kaye x

I have generally found Zanussi reliable in the past, but my new WM and TD are both Bosch. I think, if I ever replace the DW I will get Bosch too. Liz

Bosch are definitely the best at the moment, but Zanussi are supposed to be good - I think it's like everything now, the standard isn't the same as it used to be and things aren't designed to last? Good luck with the repair - hope it doesn't hurt your pocket too much. Sue - I got a machine because my dishwasher was hopeless, so unreliable and did a terrible job. lol Kaye x
