I did inform my insurance company and they were not bothered at all - in fact my premium was quite a bit less strangely !

Take some consolation in the fact that the lorry that was 'bullying' you into going faster probably got done as well! Hugs Mags xxx

It happened to me last year - I had held an unblemished license for 28 years - I was really upset too. I was doing 37 in a 30 zone.

from Met Police 'Notice of Intended Prosecution' for driving (hangs head in shame) 47mph on a 30mph road...............................60 years old this year and never even had a parking fine.. I went beserk having no knowledge of any fines etc. and was sure I was going to be banned.... Rang my son, who embarrasingly for me in the circumstances, is in the Met. Police, crying my eyes out. and found out that it will be a fixed penalty and three or four points on my licence........I can even remember when it was.....It's a long straight road of about a mile and there was a great big lorry behind me (no excuses) so I just went a bit faster and a bit faster...............Have calmed down a bit now.... Made son say about 10 times 'You won't be banned'.....Have just got to tell hubby. He won't be cross just sad that I've been so upset...I'm going to wait till he gets in tonight....... Tell you what I've learned my lesson.. my claim to fame was 35 years driving and not even a parking fine..... But truly I am ashamed of myself Linda
