My friend will swap with you if you like. Just to let you know though she had twins last week & has 2 wake them at least every 3 hours - feed one & then get him back to sleep & then do the same with her!!! With regard to wind - just make sure it's not silent reflux! You can get infant gaviscon to put in a bottle but you have to get it on prescription so if it keeps going on check with your GP.

I'll do you a night shift, a day shift , and month shift if you like!! Are you sure it wind thats causing the aggro ? normally 'vertical' over shoulder works if there is wind to be had. Maybe it isnt wind. No all babies get wind. jess x

Aww bless her! Definitely gripe water. I was brought up on it (excuse the pun!) and so was my son, now nearly 18. Funniest thing is, he still hardly ever burps! Mandy :) x

Dont worry if nothing seems to work, its not you, some babies are colicy, my 6ft 15 stone son was a nightmare baby, just remember they do grow out of it........also go by your gut feelings, if she is content and you are content thats what matters. ps I wont lie and say your gonna get a nights sleep soon.... love and good wishes, Barbara..xx

In Hartlepool all the chemists do a midwive formulated concoction known simply as 'burp mix!!' really works but the ingredients are a trade secret though!!! You could always send the babe up to our ward tonight they've onot too many patients so I' sure they'de love to take over for the night! :0) Carol

Wish I was nearby, I would come and do a shift or two for you, really miss babysitting as I used to do that and childminding loads at one time. Hope little one gets better at winding and sleeping soon, I was on my own with my son, and had no one to take over, he nearly went out the window many a night. I tried everything ,had him in my bed, sang to him, plugged him in, all the things I could think of but he didn't sleep through the night till he was about 2 and a half, I was like a zombie, but we used to sleep late in the mornings instead. Funny really, he is a night owl just like me - 24 now and can sleep for England.

I wish I had the internet when mine were little and having sleepless nights. I might have been more willing to get out of bed if I had something to do while feeding and winding. Think thats called multi-tasking lol
