Hi Girls Dont know why my OH disapears really dont. Ive always been keen on manners and I always always thank people for opening doors etc. I have another one in fact Ive got hundreds of stories to tell of bad manners. But Please please dont take offence of this one. My friend and I went for a meal, we both dont have kids anyway we go into a restaurant and there is a sign saying 'children should be kept under supervision' which I can understand as if the food went on the kids they parents would be suing the restaurant. Anyway were greeted, so I saw these kids running around and said to the waitor fellow, have you read that sign there, yes he said so I said 'either control the kids or light my ciggie up, people cant tolerate my smoke and I cant tolerate kids' LOL Now there is kids and kids but these were running riot. anyway he got them sorted out. Im a mad women when Im out. Just simply a 'Grumpy Old Women'

Hi Roxanne Its a good job I wasnt with you, Im a stickler for good manners but I have a few tricks up my sleeve. What I do is I hold the door open for people and then stand in the doorway if they push into you and dont say thank you, I stand there stuck to the ground then say to them ' and the magic word is? if they dont say it then I make sure I let the door go ensuring it hits them. When you cannot get passed some one (now this does my head in and makes me very very angry) I always say excuse me, again stand your ground do not move until they say the magic word, one man was huffing and puffing one day cos he couldnt get passed until I said ' I was taught the word was excuse when I was a child, but perhaps its now changed to move out the way, F***ing move, or shift. Then I say making sure they hear me that I was brought up not dug up. The look on their faces is incredible. My OH usally disappears when Im having turn. Yvonne x

Hi Roxane Your thread has reminded me of an incident at the supermarket on Thursday. There were two ladies, mother & daughter in front of me at the checkout, with two lots of purchases each. I heard a very loud bang behind me and this fella ( with a face red and fit to burst) had slammed a margerine tub down on the checkout. I said to him ' are you in a bad mood'?,(in a light hearted way) He said WELL look at all the goods in front and stood stamping his feet, like a child. I told him, even though I was shopping for 2 neighbours, he could go ahead of me, he refused with the look of a martyr! lol When it was my turn I swiftly gave his marg. to girl at the till and said in a loud voice ' serve this chap first will you? his time is much ,more precious than mine.' She laughed and winked! ......he did appologise(twice) as he was leaving, wonder if he learnt anything?? like use the ' less than ' checkout!!! Mau XX ;O)

Hi Lynda, Back to Spain on Wednesday, Im only here for a week, Mums doing really well, shes nearly back to her old self, which is a huge relief, she has to have some more tests which will determine wether she needs a heart by-pass,so if she does I will be back here to look after her. Roxanne x

Donkeys years ago, VERY pregnant and VERY cross, I asked a man on the crowded tube if he could possibly let me have his seat. He completely ignored me, so I sat on his lap. OC
