I've got 20ft of decking as you come out of the conservatory and the rest of the garden is paved with natural stone slabs. Not a blade of grass in sight :-))) As for the decking being slippery, all you need to do is treat it with a non slip stain and you won't have a problem. Sue |

Yep all round my pool. Grass in the front garden and decking in the back! |

OK I am a bit dim about these things, why is the decking wood dangerous/poisonous? Is it down to the preservative used, cos surely that is the same as fencing paint. |

Our son lived here before us and they had it put in for a safe place for Jac to play in but my oh doesn't like him playing on it as he also said it was poisonous... Thanks for the tip about not burning any of it though, we're planning to take away a bit of it and the wood may well have ended up on the fire.. |

No - hate it. Like a garden to look green, like a garden should. Stella |

No, I really don't like it. We have a large patio from Cotswold paving slabs, looks lovely and the rest is lawn. |

Yes, came with the house and is obscene in size- like huge! It was okay before we treated it, but since, poor doggo cant stop before she slides off the end! watching her race to the side gate can be quite funny. i wouldnt have chosen it myself , but its okay. jess |

Yes, we inherited it! Don't really like it though as it's slippery in winter. Also, is the wood poisonous (or maybe it's whatever has been used to treat it)? Very witty, Barry - good one!! |

Went to B&Q the other day, whilst looking around a store assistant asked if I was looking for anything in paticular? When I replied I was looking for some timber, he asked if I wanted decking? I thought cheeky sod so I hit him first!!! |

NO - don't really like it. We did have some but it always seemed to look tatty and was lethal when wet/icy! We finally replaced it with patio when a family of rats thought it was a nice place to live under - apparently decking is one of their favourite haunts! |
