Woody's Report 14 Aug 2006 21:14

Our son lived here before us and they had it put in for a safe place for Jac to play in but my oh doesn't like him playing on it as he also said it was poisonous... Thanks for the tip about not burning any of it though, we're planning to take away a bit of it and the wood may well have ended up on the fire..

OK I am a bit dim about these things, why is the decking wood dangerous/poisonous? Is it down to the preservative used, cos surely that is the same as fencing paint.

Yep all round my pool. Grass in the front garden and decking in the back!

I've got 20ft of decking as you come out of the conservatory and the rest of the garden is paved with natural stone slabs. Not a blade of grass in sight :-))) As for the decking being slippery, all you need to do is treat it with a non slip stain and you won't have a problem. Sue
