I used to do a lot of baking with the kids when they were little, but now they're older & I'm working I don't seem to have time. Still I should make time really. There's nothing like a batch of home baked scones or tea bread...Mmm Gaynor x |

I might just do that...Haven't had tea bread for years! Yummy! My eldest Daughter made some lovely cheese scones at school a while ago, we really enjoyed them! Gaynor x |

Hi Tracy Secret to making nice soft, high scones is to keep the air in. Don't roll out dough ( as you do with pastry), gently pat scone dough with rolling pin to keep in the air. Also when using cutters keep rounds fairly thick. Nice hot oven too.Then onto cooling tray. good luck! Mau xx :O) |
