I usually get up and watch the storms if they start overnight but was so tired last night I couldn't be bothered to get out of bed - well, not until early this morning anyway.

Very heavy rain lastnight. I heard thunder way in the distance. It was sunny earlier, now it is heavy rain. Oh well the garden needed it. Marion

I've just had a text, Phil says he got soaked yesterday, but no mention of last night! Hopefully the storm just skirted round the site! Suex

Trish, My boys are camping in Shepton Mallett, although I've sent texts this morning, still no reply, I'm wondering if they were washed out! Suex

Sort of dry here now but could pour again at any minute. I remember camping when it was weather like this, we ended up with a stream running through the middle of the tent and we slept in the car. :-)))

We have just had a thunderstorm for nearly two hours up here in Tynemouth. Only heavy rain now and I have to go out in it without my brolly as its in the car with Hubby. Jenny xx

Good Morning Trish, I don't know ifI slept through it or the storms didn't reach Taunton. First I heard was at 7:45 when I woke up, & it's a long time since I saw rain like we had about a half hour ago. I think my poor landlady is going to have to get the gutters looked at on top of all the other things the electrician found yesterday. Enjoy your morning Vivienne xx

All through the night and now still going here in Gwent though not so bad plenty of water around and some power cuts well we wanted rain we got it have a good day everyone xxx

Only working this afternoon Claire, so got the whole morning to myself. :-)) Just had another downpour which made the garden resemble a swimming pool. Supposed to be on and off like this for the rest of the day I'm told. At least it will be quiet at work this afternoon if that's true, no fool would go out in that by choice.

Storm stsrted about midnight went on for about 2 hours me under the covers hubby doing his nut he wanted the windows open i wanted them shut as i was scared out my mind. Margaret xx
