I'd like to nominate Bob (with a very sexy voice with an Irish lilt) who I had a phone conversation at work yesterday. I could have listened to him all day! As none of you had that pleasure, I will have to say James Nesbit. Although his accent is Northern Irish, it's not as 'hard' as some can be, and he speaks with a twinkle in his eyes - if that makes sense! LOL Sue (still dreaming about Bob! :o) xx |

I wouldnt say these have sexy voices, but when they talk, people tend to sit up and listen and give respect to. Sir John Gielgood Lord Laurence Olivier and James Robertson justice all have wonderful voices, British actors we can be proud of,,,,,,,,,, |

Andy, hubby is busy watching Lovejoy repeats, I had never realised Joanna Lumley was in that programme. He begs to differ with you, he says I am the sexiest, but sadly I am no longer a size 8 ;-)))) |

I saw that program about Betjeman last night, and thought Lumleys reading of Slough wonderful. There are a few ladies who keep it together into their later years, Joanna obviously one, but I should like to put a vote for Helen Mirren. And of course my lovely wife, still a sexy size 8 after 36 years of marriage! |

Hi Fred I think that is probably part of the magic of Joanna Lumley, her use of the language. I used to thinks she was stuck up, but then as I have 'matured' I realise it is just the way she was taught to speak, and that as a person she is very warm and caring Must admit that I don't see Brian Sewell in quite the same light as a person, as I think he is a bit of a snob, but I do like the way he speaks Dee ;-)) |

Fred BRIAN SEWELL!! The man is sooo affected, one can't understand what he is saying half the time, and what a snob he is! Mau :O( Agree Richard Burton's voice was wonderful, also Sean Connery. |
