:-) I also saw Bowie there, probably the same gig! It was the Sound And Vision tour or something like that. I kept taking a shirt to the water area and soaking it to drape over me, it was drying sooo quick. Then it was unpleasantly damp after dark! Had forgotten that bit. :-) It was way too big and crowded for me - I wouldn't go to another gig anywhere that big now. But I'm a big wuss anyway. I think you'd be ok with a few rolls & crisps but not much. Hope it goes well. xx Jen oh yeah, and I stayed with an uncle & aunt in Stony Stratford too (not the gig time!) |

Jen Yeah, the sound and vision tour. Had about five acts on before him, David Bowie came on stage arount 9pm-ish. It was the hottest day of the year and I remember the standpipes ? which they erected to keep us cool I remember being 4 rows from the front, but when Bowie came on there was a surge forward...ive never been so scared in my life ! I ended up further back, and had to make my way home to London alone, as I lost my mate and her friend ! Elaine x |

Hiya Ta everyone for their feedback :-) I'm going on the Monday. It says that plastic bottles of water up to 500ml are allowed. When I went to Knebworth (again to see Robbie) it stated that food wasnt allowed but we had the food in sandwiches bag not in hard storage boxes and they were ok about that. The prob is though that if I dont eat often I have a tendancy to faint and I dont fancy being in the middle of a large crowd and fainting as knowing my luck it would happen 5 mins before Robbie comes on stage. I think I will chance it and put one of my black sacks (one for sitting on and the other for using as a very attractive poncho if it rains) - very fashionable - I saw them at the paris fashion shows only the other week - yep sure! :-) over the food and then hopefully they will just see the black sacks and look no further into my bag :-) Karen |

and there's also an Old Stratford of course, just north of Stony Stratford... and then to the west, towards Buckingham, there's Water Stratford |

Great place & fab accoustics, one word of advice, wear boots/proper shoes not flipflops or sandals & take some bin bags with you to wear when it rains lol :0)) Joan (Veteran of the Police concert many many moons ago!) |
