not sure how i feel about this kris.he was always warning people of the dangers.and i guess if his wife is ok about it.thats fine. i dont want to see it,its too upsetting.but i will just avoid it.i dont have to watch do i.cant stop thinking about his kids.its heart breaking. my grandaughters love his programmes, they get to see animals they dont see over here. but also ,anyone who does wildlife programmes take that risk. thoughts are with steves family. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

If it was Steve Irwin's wish for his death to be shown on T. V. then it must be respected. He probably wanted to show the awareness of how he died and people don't have to watch it. My thoughts are with his family and friends. Fern.

I think it's sad that his methods are only now coming into question when he is no longer able to justify himself. As far as I can see, I believe he goaded the animals into behaving naturally when they felt threatened in order to educate people. His style may have not been to everyones taste but it has raised the profile of conservation issues that would otherwise be unknown. If his actions have stopped one person being bitten, injured or killed by such creatures then good for him. He died doing what he loved to do - after all I had no idea Stingrays could kill till now. As for watching his death, I hope that it will be sensitively edited for the sake of his family and friends - not sure I could watch it. But then how many of us watched the 9/11 footage?

Many, I agree with what you say about his methods now being questioned. In fact when I was watching the news coverage on BBC 24 yesterday I was actually shocked that the newcaster appeared to be goading all the people who went on with their tributes, into saying that he 'got what was coming' - and the guy IS no longer here to defend his actions.

I imagine, that they will only show upto where and when he gets 'stung' and then 'possibly' show him trying to pull the sting out (as this is how I understand what happened). I can not see them filming once they realised he was is grave danger ... the camera man would have tried to help for a start ... so I can't imagine for one minute it will be documented 100%. I would watch upto the point of contact, but then I don't want to see anything. Steve was a pain in the rear end .... and stupid, BUT he has done a lot to enlighten us about wildlife etc. I feel for his children. His wife must have realized that he lived dangerously, so must accept the consequences - although never easy. So, we can expect some sort of 'documentary' on his life, to be released then - upto the last minutes no doubt. I just hope that they do it with 'respect'.... for family and viewers alike. Elaine ;-)

Ive just had some sick jokes sent me on msn - and there is no way i ll be watching it. But bare a thought for the millions of kids who were his fans - do they really have to see this - i dont think my lad - who worshipped steve would want to watch it anymore than i do.

Hello Id just like to say that Steve did not terrorise or aggravate the animals! If he had of done then surely he would have died before now! Ive seen most of his programmes and the film he made. He talked to the animals in a calming way which i do think they understood!! I agree with some on here who say its not nice that nothing was said about the way he did things when he was alive! Also as for the video being broadcast on tv if that is what he and his family wanted fair enough! Taking his baby in the croc enclosure is something i wouldnt do but then i havent had 30 odd yrs experience with crocs. Im sure he wouldnt have done it if his baby was in any danger! I didnt worship him but i loved his programmes and they way he made wildlife interesting, if it wasnt for him loads of kids nowadays would not know anything about wildlife if it wasnt for him! I for one learnt a lot through him. I would never have sat down and watched and enjoyed David Attenborough and the like just talking about them! karen
