I have been a member since the first month of the site opening. and have witnessed a few 'strange moments' but this latest episode is an eye opener! What is happening to the site?? I let my membership lapse after the first year because of some disturbing postings, then renewed after a time because I wanted to contact people regarding family history (shock, horror!!) This is a genealogy site...get with the programme!!! What is happening to the site!!!! (???) Linda |

Hi Linda I joined a couple of months after you, and I must say that, although there have been occasional spats on here, the last year has got worse. And I would say that it has got particularly worse since ITV took over. Remeber the old days when we used to get messages from the owner himself to let us know what was going on? These days you're lucky if they sort out any of the problems you might be having with the site, let alone the nasties that ruin this site for everyone. Jeanette x |

Jeanette...I joined 11th December 2002 but like I said, I let my membership lapse, still watched the boards though. Then I 'rejoined' (cos my membership had lapsed) because I wanted to post. Wondering now why I bothered...this is still a good site for genealogy though. Linda |

I am disgusted with the behaviour of some of the people on the boards...Some of the people on here are beyond contempt..I wonder what the world is comming to when people can be so openly nasty and get away with it.... I dont think it's the boards gone mad...just some of the peole! How on earth they can go from such spitefulness to butter wouldnt melt is beyond me! I am gutted that innocent members have been barred from this site, leaving nasty waste of spaces the freedom to continue to upset and insult.... I dont have to name names, they know who they are...sadly they dont have enough about them to feel ashamed at their behaviour... LOU XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx |

Isn't that why we all should be here? This board used to be for a bit of light relief inbetween doing your tree. Unfortunately there are those that abuse it and aren't even interested in genealogy! |
