I am not into mumbo jumbo; more inclined to physics and chemistry. However, the world of physics and medicine is now producing evidence that brain and consciousness, although obviously linked, are separate entities and consciousness apparently may operate independently of the physical body. Amongst many references, google (apologies to Google who object to their name being used as a verb) Prof. Robert Jahn, School of Engineering and Applied Science Princeton University, and Dr VP Lommel Rijnstatd Hospital, Holland. There are others. I like to consider myself open-minded. I will listen and if I do not agree, give a reasoned argument. And you? Len

Bella, that's the only sensible way to approach any concept. len

Simone

Simone Report 15 Sep 2006 19:38

I saw an 'Horizon' programme last year about conciousness being able to exist independently for a time after death. It was facsinating, something to do with nano neutrons, or something sounding like that, you'll probably know the ones Len. Anyway, they made it sound perfectly sensible and understandable, but I couldn't explain it to you now. Simone x

Just read a brilliant book by Dr. Brian Weiss called Many Lives Many Masters. It certainly made me think about reincarnation. Maureen

Matter is indestructible - a law of physics. Energy can only change from one form into another, it cannot be destroyed. Einstein proved that mass is interchangeable with energy (E=Mc²). It is becoming evident to science that consciousness is a subtle form of electro-magnetic energy. That mean anything, Simone? len

I wonder why that the most investigative (and supportive) work into the paranormal has been conducted by engineers and physicists rather than psychiatrists and clerical hierarchy? len
