Love it. Gonna rearrange my evening so I can watch this. I once saw an interview by Sue Johnston who said 'I find it hard to belive anybody really lives like they do' :-))) I thought all families did?? Sue xx

Yes I love too the scousers - however this is the one exception - no one in our family can stand it. We found it vulgar, crude and definitely not funny. But I do not begrudge others watching it. Ann

I was so looking forward to seeing the special Royle family last night, and I wasn't disappointed.....the humour was right up my street - especially with Nanna looking at everyone through her magnifying glass... There were so many humerous bits, I cannot mention them all - I think Caroline Aherne and Co. did a brilliant job, it just left me wanting it to go on and on..... As a previous poster said....perhaps we could have the story of the next door neighbour and Twiggy.....with the Royle's as a spin off..... the embarrassment of the various 'dates' was plain to see....and the homely welcome given by the family was lovely.... I also enjoyed the chap from next door, when he sang.....he also plays Pearl's man-friend in Emmerdale.......I well remember him singing 'I'll take you home again Kathleen' from an early Royle family episode..... It was all really smashing......
