After paying £16 for 2 childrens hair cuts a few years ago, I bought a pair of hair clippers and now do my boys hair for nothing. My daughter cuts her own hair and so do I.

I never have a cut without a colour so I don't know how much it is on it's own. Cut and colour costs £75, looks fabulous and lasts quite a while. A couple more tips for you Bob..... Don't hang your washing out in the rain Don't eat yellow snow! LOL

My daughter took my two year old granddaughter to have her hair cut last week. She doesn't have a mop of hair, quite fine actually. They cut a tiny bit of hair just to tidy it up and charged her £7.50. The same hairdresser charged her £3 for doing exactly the same thing a few months ago. Absolute rip of. Just as well I wasn't there or I would have shown my displeasure! Aileen xxx

Ever since my grandson, now six needed a hair cut, my daughter took him to the local barbers. Lovely blokes but it was costing her £8 a time. Bought her those hair clippers and now she does him and his dad's hair for nothing. Aileen xx

I used to go to a Bath hairdresser and paid around £44 for cut and blow dry. I've started going to one in my local town and pay £27 for the same service!

I use a mobile hairdresser who was once at the salon I used to go to. At the salon I would have paid £25 for a cut and blow dry and £8 each for the kids. Now I pay £15 for 3 wet cuts and I don't have to leave the house. I have never liked the atmosphere at a salon so suits me fine xx

I have tried all of the hairdressers in our town and I find you get what you pay for. I'm never disappointed at the salon I go to. I take my youngest there too as she has got really crazy hair. She's got so many crowns she looks like one of those rosette guinea pigs! lol. It costs £15 but it is even all the way round, which is more than can be said when I've taken her to the other places.

16€ for me and OH to have washed and cut (not each) think she said it would cost 16€ to have it high lighted as well. Local hairdresser, just walk in and have it cut, no appointment. Just have to watch, the verb for a cut is cortar, but short is curto, I already know someone who came unstuck with that one and instead of a trim, it got cut short! Rosalind

Not too bad where I am---Wash,cut and blow dry--£12. If I want a colour I do it myself the day before I have it cut. Works out cheaper. My son however pays--£10 just for a dry trim! C xxx
