Not convinced. It's interesting to note that every single enquiry conducted whilst Blair is PM has resulted in whitewash splashing everywhere. Makes you think, doesn't it.

The royals were finding it very difficult to gain public respect....Diana was becoming more and more popular........she was in the way of Charlies plans.......she had already been informed her life was at risk..............of course it was an accident.......and all those coincidences coming together??? who says that this was the first attempt......had she survived there could possibly be others.......the enquiry......how could they report differently.......who would they blame?

An Olde Crone Report 15 Dec 2006 20:09

All I can say is, if this was a member of my family, AND I suspected either murder or a cover-up, then I wouldn't stop asking questions and making waves for as long as I had breath in my body. Are you saying that it doesn't matter if she WAS murdered, because it was ten years ago? OC

For someone who was supposed to have drunk the volume of alcohol claimed at the inquest, Henry Paul had amazing coordination to bend down and tie his shoe laces as seen on the CCTV if any mere mortal had drunk what they said he had he would be falling sideways and laughing uproariously. xx

Essex Baz Report 15 Dec 2006 20:30

Not in a million years, as far as I'm concerned, it was a well covered up 'accident' ???. Baz

Lord Stevens opening lines,,,,, ''From the evidence I have before me NOW'' What ever our thoughts,I think we do have to let go as no amount of theory will ever change things and her boys and family need to have it put to rest,,,,,,,,,Verdict===''No one will ever know''

TaniaNZ

TaniaNZ Report 15 Dec 2006 21:02

The rat is big and unfortunately it stinks. What has caught my eye over the years is the forensic scientists who have questioned the validity of testing the drivers blood after his death. Apparently when someone suffers a violent death (one with injury) microbiological activity POST MORTEM can cause ethanol (alcohol)to form from sugars in the blood. For this reason attention needed to be paid to the condition of the man before the crash, witnesses and video evidence both cast huge doubt on the man being drunk. I also find it hard to believe that anyone in his position would get rolling drunk while there was even the slightest possibility of being asked to work. Sure no seatbelts didnt help, but that dosent mean the accident wasnt deliberate. Before all the royalists leap up and down,by saying the accident was deliberate dosent mean I think out right it was instigated by the royal family, they are surrounded by people looking out for there best interests and they may have taken it upon themselves to take care of it. Whatever the reason Diana thought someone was after her and that should also have been given Kudos in the inquiry. Regards Tania

InspectorGreenPen Report 15 Dec 2006 21:05

As I said earlier..... Why has there been no inquest? Surely this sort of ten year delay smacks of a cover up?

Roger

Roger Report 15 Dec 2006 21:34

I have just one question: WHY HAS THE FIAT CAR THAT EVERYONE EVEN THE POLICEMAN OF THIS INQUIRY SAID - HIT THE CAR, NOT BEEN FOUND - A COVER UP SOMEWHERE??????????? But I think the story has run its course, and we should let sleeping dogs lie.
