Chunks.... me have kept only a couple of the wedding pics as they were only snapshots and I don't need to see them ever again!! But normally I agree.... photo's are not to be thrown!

To me 'stuff' is just 'stuff' - I don't need it to remember. The only things that are sacrosanct (sp?) are photographs - I never throw those away...

Look to this day for it is life the very life of life. In it's brief course lie all the realities and truths of existence the joy of growth the splendor of action the glory of power, For yesterday is but a memory And tomorrow is only a vision But today well lived makes every yesterday a memory of happiness and every tomporrow a vision of hope. Look well, therefore, to this day! Best of luck Gordon

Diana, Yes, we had a bit of a clear out of the past recently too... VERY difficult, but sometimes just has to be done. We've only done half the job though, but the rest will go soon. Paul x

Well done Diana, I am sure you will move forward next year in leaps and bounds. I am the world's worst hoarder, mine has become an ocd, so well done to all of you who have managed to get rid of things and I love the idea of the memory boxes. Liz

Daughter just threw out 20 year old feather quilt from her first marriage, used daily, even though she has been happily remarried for 13 years. She just couldn't believe she had kept it so long.!!!! Sunny R

I think there comes a time when you know its right to let go and move on. Its not easy cos the past is part of you, but, the future is also part of your path, Cant be easy letting go, but you need to move on Shirley

Wait until they are a bit older Shelli and sit down with them and let them help you decide. My kids were all for slinging everything which is why I put in their first babygrow, pair of shoes, a really nice dress/romper suit, first toy, etc. When they saw what I had done they then wanted to add things that gave them special memories. Bryony often asks me to put special mementoes in her crate and Nic and Josh know their stuff is there for them when they want it. Viv
