The ones that are critical about my research, are the ones that want a print out of the family tree post haste :)) They think it's soooo easy......not! And.... when I ask them what there hobbies are they shut up, cos they haven't got any :)) Heather x |

No one really criticises but they are not as interested as me----and it hurts!!!! May be your Sister is jealous that you have the time and she doesn't. |

My darling (not) brother-in-law told me that I should concentrate on the living and not the dead. This is a man who has alienated every member of my family and whose children barely speak to him. The reactions of my family range from very interested to bored out of their wits. Susan |

Ros, my Mum often tells me that something I have found is not true. When I tell her that I have proved it she is still sceptical. Susan |

My father told me that his mother had ovarian cancer and that she caught pneumonia in hospital and died of that. When I received her death certificate it stated that she had benign fibroids that had been removed but unfortunately she developed a pelvic infection that eventually killed her. Dad wouldn't believe me, he said that the family knew what had really killed her not a bit of paper. Susan |

When I found a living relative of a man who supposedly died unmarried, and that living relative sent me all the certs AND a wedding photograph, showing the 'dead' man getting married, with his brothers in attendance, the rest of the family said the man in the photo must have been PRETENDING to be the dead man, lol. My brother does very little towards the research although we are supposed to be sharing the cost and the work, but he picks holes in everything I find and does his level best to disprove anything I come up with.
