Carol,My mother has a staffie and my brother has 3,they are all soft as butter, like you say their only crime would be licking someone to death:-)) But As you say also I too would never leave a child alone with one,you just never know. any dog is capable of attacking,in the wrong hands.

When we first got Coco, she was naughty, all my clean washing, hanging to dry indoors all ended up in her bed. Even now she's older, if she sees the roadspweeper round here, she nicks his glove and runs off with it. Last time she did it he said 'oh let her keep it'. When I take her out, she knows more people than me, it takes ages to get home again, amount of people that say ' is that coco' then she laps up all the fuss. She gets taken out by my 17 yr old son and my husband, so she's bound to meet loads of people.

Doesn't matter how many times I tell her to go downstairs, she still slinks up when I am not looking. LOL God bless. Libby ps. Daft cat is laying across the stairs - nearly broke my neck!!

Have that same feeling about my pets that i have had...they are wonderful to have but so devastating to lose..I have just got a new puppy after wanting one for some time. But if she goes missing my heart already skips a beat.. Nothing like the loyalty of a pet. She is my shadow and i love her to bits..

Mrs Presley, you don't sound silly to me, its natural. Just shows that you're a loving, caring owner. I remember thinking when Sherry died, wouldn't it be a great invention, if we could slow down the ageing process in dogs. I know it'll never happen.

Libby when we take her to the vet about the lumps.....they just say,,,nothing to worry about......

Libby

Libby Report 5 Jan 2007 01:52

Janet I couldn't agree more, Mrs P. I know where you are coming from with the lumps and cysts. Also Bella's last season wasn't long enough and toxins built up inside her. She was in a lot of pain and couldn't walk - I had to carry her out to the garden ( no mean task I can tell you!) for a wee. The vet sorted her out with anti biotics but he said it may only be temporary. Fingers crossed. Libby
