hold on...

I am not really a 'believer in matters of the ghostly sort but.... since moving in to our new house ( an old victorian property) i have had a feeling of 'something' being here with me ..... about two weeks ago when i started decorating i began to see what i can only describe as a black shadow ( not dense black but not see through) sort of floating past the side of me at 3 significant places in the house. ... i have seen this shadow about 15 times now in 2 weeks.... i finally decided to tell my hubby this morning of what is going on.. and lo and behold.. he told me he had experienced the same thing a couple of times this week whilst he has been home on holiday ..... the thing is.. whatever 'it' is... it doesnt scare me in the slightest.. i am just really curious now about the history of this house...

Em, My daughter discribes exactly the same black thing when she is at work, she thought she was the only one that had the experience of it untill she mentioned it to her work collegue..Her mate has seen it too!!

It could well be Dawn.. perhaps just a past resident long gone.. checking to see what i am doing to the house...

Em have you had things that have moved from one place to another...you puit something down and think oh i put that there then you go back and it's not therexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx((((((:

i found out who lived in the house where i was bought up when i was a child.I found it by accident and was able to find it on the 1891 and 1901 census.I have Smiths in my family.Guess what nearly every street has a Smith.I found these Smiths in my old street and flipped the page to i found my number. Annie

It would be interesting for you to do a study on your house then you might be able to put a name to the presence

Hi Lisa, yes a couple of times or so.. but having FM, i tend to put that down to my poor memory.. what have had though is the lounge door closing of its own accord a couple of times... normally it just sits still so to speak.. being quite flush at the bottom with the carpet..

I live in a 1925 bungalow in Australia and are visited by an apparition. We think it is the original owner/builder of the house and he is just looking to see what we have done. My 8 year old daughter has seen him sitting on her bed and I have told her to tell him to leave her alone and that the house is fine and he vanishes. He is just happy to see a family in his house. I live in a 1930's flat, which used to be living quarters for medical staff at the old hospital behind us. We both often see shadows, and one day my OH 'saw' one clearly walk through the wall as though there was a door there, into next doors bedroom! The sightings are only very brief, out of the corners of ours eyes, and as soon as we look up at them , they are gone. It was a bit disconcerting when we first moved here, but we are used to it now.
