I would sort out the tax and benefits system. Prevent living on benefits from being a lifestyle choice other than for the genuinely sick and disabled. Stop taxing workers on the minimum wage. Scrap means testing, all benefits to be taxable

There is no way he will leave before May for the following reasons. 1. He want's to beat Maggies record and 2 2. If he completes 10 years as PM he gets an EXTRA £20,000 pension each year. This beats mine by quite a lot well about a fiver LOL

Maggie was only PM for ten years which TONY is keen to beat. As for Iraq answer well yes it only cost £3bn but £3bn would be better spent on building more hosptials and prisons rather than our soldiers being killed and maimedout there.........

If I were Prime minister I'd.... Sort out our stupid welfare system - I'd pick a date about 10 months ahead and refuse to pay for babies born after that date. I'd means test child benefit - does Fergie really need an extra 30 quid a week? I'd refuse to keep school leavers longer than say, 3 months - no job - no benefit - maybe even national service if they've not got a job within a timescale. Make prison sentences actually something more of a deterrent I'd probably castrate rapists and child molesters...............................blimey - I'm scaring myself at how radical I'd be!! If I was Tony, I would hang on in office until about June, stashing away as much as I could in salary and perks, transfer it all to a numbered Swiss bank account, then cut and run to somewhere where there is no extradition . I think June is about right - before the police move in with several warrants for arrest. Len

to date my mum[83]has been robbed or attempted to be robbed 5 times in the last 3 years.the last but one time we caught them,police arrested and they admitted to being in my mums home.guess what...............they got off.because they said mum gave them the money,and she would,nt be able to stand in court as she gets a bit mixed up. so for me ...............bring back hanging.xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Interesting to see the comments on Iraq , the cost so far is about £3 billion, which although seems a lot of money is only about 3% of the entire N.H.S. budget. This probably ignores what would have been spent on wages and salaries if they had not been deployed abroad in the first place. What I would rather see is an end to this silly obsession with passing even more legislation (which itself costs tens of millions for each Act of Parliament) Most of New Labour's Legislation will never be taken to court as it is so badly drafted that the Crown Prosecution Services daren't risk being made a fool of. What is needed though is the the application of the laws we do have. Bring back a proper police force, who actually go out on the streets and arrest the real rogues. And then, when they get to court hand out proper sentences that hurt. My wife worked in the prison service in the 1970's It was well known thn that the prisons became full over the winter period. Why? Free food, bed and warm board. So no surprise now.....?

ive been thinking that if theres any old big buildings about,why not update them and secure them enough for the ones with lighter sentances.and,why not use our army as part of there training to act as prison warders.alot from the army when they leave service end up as prison officers.lets face it we have a great army,top soldiers.just a thought.xx

1, I listen to the people who put you in power and get out quickly. 2, quit Iraqi as you could build all the hosiptals prisons and the like from the money you have spent there. 3, And I would help the old people who saved our county durung WW11 but you Tony don't care about htem But unfortunately, i don't like Mr Brown either as he has had his hands on the purse strings and has fleeced us as well, so Tony please had over to a new face if possible.

I wouldn't want to be anywhere near Tony Blair to be honest. If he had of butted out and minded his own business to do with Iraq then we wouldn't have lost so many Troops and I believe that because of what he did with Iraq - we were a target with The London Bombings and still are. When will politicians ever butt out of what is not theirs to be meddling with in the first place. There is no such thing as war anymore....Terrorism is the new war...But it hasn't got a face or uniform, which makes it much worse. Stella X
