Hiya Dee, old chum. xx I won a book-related prize! A watch, t shirt and car sticker that had a picture of a girl against a spooky house & said 'HAUNTED BY HERBERT'. You had to say where a certain quote was, and I stood in WH Smiths for hours, skim-reading the whole thing. Then I found the quote in a second front cover flap... xx Jen |

It's good to see some people have won things As the saying goes, 'you have to be in it to win it' Trust you to win a book related prize Jen. My son has recently entered a competition where the prize is to be a character in the author's next book. If he wins I will let you know which book, then you will know to avoid it ;-)))) |

Hi Dee, The first time my husband and I filled in our football coupon (over forty years ago !...where has the time gone?) we won 3/6d or fifteen and a half pence in todays money. We still do the pools although we have never won anything since !!!! We spent our winnings on some salmon steaks for our evening meal. We could buy a whole salmon for 2/6d at that time. Beryl x |

Without appearing to be big headed ( I've just had the front door widened lol ) I am a member of the Lancashire Authors Association and I have won the first prize for my dialect poems for the last four years. Keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for this years results. If you google Lancashire Authors Association I believe there are some photos on the site. Jeff xx (Cyril) |
