Keith, Its always the ones that are left behind that suffer...and believe me its sooo true ! My mum died suddenly in August 1975 of a brain heommorage (aged 51 yrs) and i never EVER forgot that date ! Until the past few years...methinks i'm getting old. Keith...after a lot of time its not that you forget a date....your mum is with you always no matter what date it is.....and she will understand ! Dont blame yourself for such a 'natural' emotion, i am sure your mum wouldn't want you to feel this way. Love Valley xx Instead of grieving again for the date she died....just try turning your thoughts around to absolutley celebrating what your mum achieved in her lifetime...wow !! Bringing you up would have been a challenge eh ? Bet you were a little tearaway with a runny nose and a pellet gun. Lol. Think back to the great funny times you shared and say a 'Thank you' for being a part of your mums life on this earth. Thats all..sorry..dont mean to come across as a preacher..........just believe in the afterlife .

I went to my daughter's grave today, the 33rd anniversary of her birth. She only lived for 3 days as she was born too soon and weighed just 1 lb 10 oz. I don't go so often now altho try on birthdays and such but if I can't get there, sometimes there has been too much snow, I just think hard about her and maybe get some flowers to have at home so that every glance or whiff of perfume brings her to mind. Her little body in that box is just her earthly shell, I am sure she is grown up elsewhere and I will meet her again some day. Maybe your Mum is one of those who helped look after her Hoff, I like to think of people 'living' their other lives in a nice place where there is no pain or sadness, and no cruelty or evil deeds. I am sure your Mum will be smiling and saying 'silly man, why is he upset, it is only another day and he is busy, don't feel bad' Liz x

A Mother like yours is more than a memory. She is a living presence.......' Your Mother is always with you.... She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street; she's the smell of bleach in your freshly laundered socks; she's the cool hand on your brow when you're not well. Your Mother lives inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every tear drop. She's the place you came from, your first home; and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love and your first heartbreak, and nothing on earth can separate you. Not time, not space... not even death!

Keith it isn't that you forgot as we get older the days go by so fast it was just that you didn't remember what the date was. I sometimes now forget the dates but think of my Mum and Dad every day especcially if the weather is bad but then I think they wouldn't want me going up there in this weather, they know I will never forget them Your Mum will know.
