We had ducks when my girls were small. When they got to about 3/4, they were into words with the same endings - yet again on a train, mummy innocently says 'What rhymes with duck'. We start from 'A'. didn't take long........'B' buck....I tried to avoid it but eldest (always a 'smart' child) realised I had missed out a letter. Grief those girls had loud voices Times like that I wished I could drive......

Hi folks, my son when small couldn't say his 's' - just missed them out altogether and it took speech therapy for him to get it right, I even called our puppy Daisy to try and encourage him but he just called her Dayey for a long time. But the funny word he used a lot was skebalon, for skeleton, he just couldn't get that one right! A little lad I childminded for 6 years, when really young told me he didn't like walking over the wobblystones (cobblestones). After I stopped myself laughing, I asked him why and he said 'Because they make my bones wobble!' Aren't kids cute? Except Hays, when they are teenagers in hospital !! pmsl

if you think thats funny listen to this. I'll get in trouble if my misses see's this. As a child she would tend to not always use the toilet to take a poop.ON one paticular ocassion she had dropped one not a big one mearly a maltesser sized doofer on the carpet. This is grose but her nan spots it and say 'mmm chocklate' you can guess her reaction when she tasted it i know it gross but it made me roor when my misses told me the story. regards simon

Not wanting to be 'grandad' my husband invented 'Bigpop' for himself. One of our grandchildren couldn't get her tongue round it and called him 'Pigbop' - and it sounds rather sweet in her high-pitched baby voice. My toddler son loved scrambled eggs but insisted on calling them 'strangled' eggs, and another son coined a family word when 'nothing' got pronounced 'nuppink'.
