Colin, sorry you feel you need to leave for a while as I know so many people seem to have enjoyed your introduce yourself thread and started posting for the first time on there. Like some of the others I'll see you every day on YYFH where peace reigns. GR has some lovely people who far outweigh the ones who seem to delight in trouble making and nastiness and can't see that it's possible to have a debate without resorting to personal abuse. What strange folk they are to think it's good to upset folk and get them banned from the site. I know Colin won't send out his details himself via GR but if anyone want's I'd be happy for you to PM me with you e-mail address and I can pass the messages on to Colin. Daphne

So there is going to be just the one of us then.. .....when I walk to the local to meet my friends I sometimes have to pass evil smelling mess....it gets washed away and is replaced by more evil smelling mess.......but I like visiting my friends so I hold my nose when passing................. There may be other ways but each walks his own path....take care cheers Colin

Hi Colin, I was fortunate in missing the recent nastiness on here, but how right you are in stating it is partially the fault of those who run the site that it is allowed to escalate. It's a shame that you and others feel the need to step back, after all, this site is for everyone and I feel you should speak on here as you would to someone's face. Mind you, there is the worrying possibility that some people DO speak to others face to face in an aggressive/rude manner!!! Come back soon. Like Teresa, Linda and Norah I am fortunate enough to be able to 'see' you on TYFH, where, when there's the slightest sign of trouble or nastiness, the boss steps in 'Where angels fear to tread', :o))) maggie

I've been away on holiday for two weeks and come back to find that things have been happening to upset people again!!! I don't know what exactly but whatever it is please don't let them get to you Colin....they tried to get to me but I found your site and with the help of you and the lovely people on TYFH I became a stronger person and thank you for that. To those who haven't met Colin let me tell you he is a great person to know and a true friend, a funny yet also a serious person who would help anyone and always tries to see the good in people even when the rest of us would probably give up. He will be missed on here but luckily I will still see him on TYFH which is a far friendlier site. Linda xx

Helloooo Colin, Oh gosh Colin.......sorry to hear you say this. When I caught your 'Introduce yourselves' thread on here and read the replies...I thought 'Yes, GR has got a chance of being like TYFH' The lad (you) has done it again' But, it seems not, not yet anyway. But why is what I am asking? I think the answer is twofold. First of all TYFH is smaller. Secondly, we have you at the helm of TYFH, and you just don't let things go awry. Whatever you choose to do is fine with me. It's a shame though, because you really tried didn't you? I'll catch you on our friendly site. Cheers Norah

Hi colin, I know you have tried to be the peacemaker as always. I think you need to do what is right for you though, so maybe staying away for a while is the right thing to do. I am lucky though, I will still see you each day elsewhere. Take care, Teresa

Colin, Please don't stay away too long. If all of us who try to keep the peace step back, what will happen to the boards. There have been some good times on here during this last week with your introduce yourself thread, in fact I thought we were getting back to old times. Then friday arrived and chaos again. Colin I'm shocked! You have always been the perfect gentleman to me, and always ready to give the best useful advice on a variety of things. Your lovely introduction thread is tribute to the kind of person you really are. I hope you don't stay away too long, you will be sorely missed on these boards.
