I spoke to Leon this evening. He is home and doing well. He was bowled over that people had been thinking of him and praying for him - he has asked me to pass on his sincere thanks to each and every one of you. He WAS terrified - so much so that his blood pressure taken before the op was 191 over 93 !!! They said it was one of the highest they had ever seen! There was a problem with the anaesthetic ... they couldn't knock him out !! It took them 3 attempts with different 'stuff' to get him off - I just knew he would cause trouble lol He DID have a double hernia after all - but they managed to repair both with keyhole surgery. Once again, thank you so much - I'm sure you helped :-) Maz. XX

Missed this yesterday, but glad Leon got through it all without too much hassle. I am surprised he isn't feeling rough from all the anaesthetic, if he had to have more than usual. I spoke with my cousin of 70 tonight, she had her hernia op last Monday 5th, and is feeling fine. She had to have an epidural as she has too many heart problems to risk full anaesthetic but said all was ok.
