Star you are right it is very important for children to stay in contact with their fathers after a breakdown of their parents relationship. When my ex and I split up I insisted that he kept on seeing the kids and if he hadn't turned up I contacted him to make arrangements. It is also important for the parents not to speak nastily about each other to the children as it is them suffering because of it. Sometimes you have to tolerate people who have hurt you for your childrens sakes. Jackiexx

Star, that is so sad, I agree both parents should be around in a child's life, where ever possible. My son's father found a wife who wouldn't let him stay in touch, she has told their son we are family friends, can't wait to see what happens when he one day learns his parents lied to him. I am sure your Dad knows you loved him and miss him. x

Worst part of my life was being seperated from my Dad at the age of about 4 or 5, Mom and Dad divorced, me stuck in the middle of it, as for me I look like my Dad, and, it was always me that was in trouble. I got 'quirks' like Dad had, and would often get shouted at, just for me and my 'quirks' reminding Mom of Dad. Had no contact with Dad from the age of 4 or 5, and then we lost Dad when I was a teenager...............so If I could live my life over again it would be to make damn sure that I had contact with my Dad. That would have saved a lot of tears and emotion that I am still going through now. ''Justice for Dad's''......I am so pleased that some Dad's are fighting for the right to see their children. We need them as much as Mom's. (((HUGS))) for them X

Lots of missed chances and things I did wrong, misjudged situations or didn't make the time I should have to see people I wanted to see, but if I changed much, I would probably have missed out on other good things so think I have to feel fate had a hand in things too.

Janey probably biggest regret is not giving friends the time they deserve. A true friend is not someone who will give/lend you a £1000 but someone who will cancel any plans to be there when you need them. Unfortunately I haven't always lived up to that description. T.O.R. ;o))
