I lost my beloved Mum less than 5 months ago. I’ve just spent my first birthday without her, not a happy day. Later this month will be Mothers’ Day and my Mum’s birthday. I’m on a cocktail of drugs for M.E. and related symptoms, including depression. A very sad, sick and evil person has added a candle to the Gratefulness site using my GR board name. That person has won in one way because I’m distraught and don’t know how I’m going to get through today, they’ve reached me at an all-time low. However, they’ve also shot themselves in the foot by picking on the wrong person. My husband is an IT professional for a large international company, so besides knowing exactly what information to request from the candle site, he also has access to the best legal advice possible. You can be sure that we’ll be using it. Mandy

It needs someone that can actually DO something to do take these deranged people on, make them sit up and take notice for once in their silly lives. So sorry that someone has been so very very cruel, because that is what they have been. Please dont let them add to your distress. Scarlett x

Good luck to your husband and I hope he succeeds in stopping this spitefulness. Sorry you have been hurt in this way. That site deserves respect from all who use it. Jacky :-)

Sorry to hear your in pain mandy. I have not looked at the candle site since the last time it was invaded with nastiness. I hope your OH does catch this evil person . Then the finger pointing will stop...

Just seen yours and Gwynnes threads had a quick look at the candle site and yes only one word disgusting. Hope your OH does manage to get to teh bottom of it. Take Care Germaine x

Dear Mandy, Please try not to let the evilness of a person/persons upset you. I know how distressed you are but they really are mindless morons who are psychologically disturbed. I do hope your husband can help root out the people doing this and rid this site of them. Jean x.

Mandy so sorry to hear of all your troubles & pain. I too hope your husband can get to the bottom of this. I haven't been back to the site since the last nasty wave of candles - I did report the abuse and quickly recieved a heartwarming e mail but I guess like many sites this erupts now and again. I won't be going back to the site now or the near future - I was determined that these vile idiots wouldn't spoil the site for me but sadly they have even though I've taken the comments with a pinch of salt and know that the writting isn't in these members names!! Thank you for all the lovely replies, PMs and emails, proving that there are many truly good people on this site. I hope people don't think I'm moaning, I didn't mean my thread to come across in that way. I just wanted to make the point that these sick people are kicking people when they're down. One thing I have noticed, and that is that whoever is doing this always picks on people who have happy family lives and are surrounded by love. If you think about the people who have been picked on, or whose names have been used falsely, they are all people who have mentioned happy family times on this site. So they obviously don't have a happy family life themselves and are jealous of those who do. Mandy x

I really hope he can trace them Mandy. I would like to bet there would be some very surprised and embarassed people when the name or names were revealed and those rose-tinted glasses removed. Maz. XX

Hi Mandy, I've just popped on here for a few mins as per usual, and seen this - and Lynda's thread. Mandy, I have to disagree with you lol - this sick individual hasn't won overall, as you're communicating with us therefore you haven't 'clammed up', as it were. Good! :-)) Other than that, good luck with M's search. Make no mistake, this person/group will be found. They can run, but they can't hide. (((HUGS)))
