Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 5 Mar 2007 00:01

Went to a client today to dress her and as she is quite big chested it was like trying to get boulders into a boulder holder! I don't have that problem and happened to joke that I only needed an egg box and could make three bras from it with a bit of elastic. The other care worker who I had never met before whips up her jumper and comes out with a jelly mould from inside her bra. Well I almost wet myself. Someone madder than me! I've got an 85yr old who puts cups inside her bra and false eyelashes on before she gets out of bed..... and they say care work is boring! Aileen xxx

My Oh's aunt was at least 86 when she died two years ago. Looked like Barbara Cartland - all blue eye shadow and believe it or not mini skirts !!. Would not open the door without her slap on. Dread to think what was inside her bra !! Libby x

Aileen, I am so confused, why would a careworker have a jelly mould in her bra, wouldn't it make her lopsided, especially if it was one of those old fashioned rabbit ones?! lol It must be quite fun to go to work, you never know what you will come up against?

Aileen i'm a carer also, my last job was in a nursing home, and one old lady used to put her false teeth in her bra!!! actually anything went in there, an old man couldn't find his toupee we were sure he left it in the sitting room, as he usually took it off at night after his tea, searched everywhere for it ..can you guess...yes in the lady's bra!!! must have itched..lol

A few hours and I will be up and running again. Got until 6pm Monday night before I am let loose again, so hope to get a chance to come on here even if it is ony to read the threads. Well aside from the usual I often have money and I have on ocassion bought home the keys from work. Fortunately the main keys for the most important cupboards have a pin on them so never game to stash them.

if i said socks or chicken fillets would you believe me? Its one of those things ( well, two hopefully!) That if you have it, you wished you hadn't, and if you haven't you wish you had. Scarlett
