My bosses wife got bowel cancer in her 40s and is fine now, and my brother had it 7 years ago. He left it for a year despite nagging by his wife to go to see the doctor. He had an operation and didn't even need chemotherapy. Thankfully it is one of the cancers that can be treated, my brother is just thankful he didn't get lung cancer like my mum had.
