I have been so very naughty ;-)) I was fascinated by the sound of the book TOR suggested that I got it from the library, couldn't put it down, if you want something different, do read it. I shall post a thread related to it, and put a review up Dee xx

Just picked my copy of The Book Thief up from the library and it's the hardback which is a big book. It does look as though the print is quite big though! I remarked on the size of it to the librarian and she said she'd heard it was very good. I explained that I also had to wade through Wuthering Heights this month. Her suggestion was that I should order the dvd through the library and cheat! LOL

Jeanette, please don't do that I watched the DVD of North and South and mentioned to my tutor that he was wrong, the girl did meet the character he was talking about again. He said, that might have been the case in the TV presentation, but the event never happened in the book!!! Boy oh boy did I feel silly ;-))

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 2 Apr 2007 21:40

speaking of DVD's I have just started watching Emma which I got from the library. it is a very old BBC version and I am sooo disappointed with it :-( Mr Knightley and Mr Elton are seriously ODD looking, Emma is not at all how I imagined her (she talks like the Queen!) and Miss Bates is VERY disappointing. May not even bother to watch the rest. Maz. XX
