Maz, have you looked on the site that Julie recommended. Now I am confused, is it a azada or a mattock that you want. Both are pictured, and the azada looks more spadey than the mattock. Do they work with heavy clay? Joanne

oooooooh it's an Azada !!! never heard of that before :-))) sorry to the person who first suggested it - I assumed you meant adze (sp) as that was the only similar thing I have heard of :-)) Now I can go off and search again - hopefully I am getting one as a late mother's day present lol Maz. XX

ok, have had a good trawl lol it seems to be something that is used a lot overseas, but is only just becoming known here. very good write ups everywhere. apart from the get-digging site already mentioned, there is another at http://www*edirectory*co*uk/pf/880/default/ which seems a little cheaper. happy digging everyone :-))) Maz. Better still, going on from Colins suggestion, Plant a few bones, and get the archeologists in........ worked in peterborough......LOL Bob
