my eldest daughter became taller than me at the age of 16, is now 5ft6', my son now aged 16 is 6ft., im 5ft4', there dad was 5ft6', both familys and siblings on both sides are all under average height, are we seeing children just getting taller, even though i am 5ft4' im taller than my mum, her mum is 4ft 9'.

I am the same height now as I was when I was 10, I aint grown lol Im 5ft 3 My eldest is nearly 18 and is 5ft 2 Luke is 12 and only ditty for his age but unsure of his height cos he is never here lol Boo is only a little bit shorter than Luke even thought she has just turned 7 I will have to measure tham later now lol Jackiex

Afternoon...yes all my children are taller than meI,m5ft 3. My sos are 21,17and 14 they are 6ft 4, 5ft 7, and 5ft 9......my daughter ...my baby :( is 11 and 5ft 5 !!!!!!!! I stand on the 3rd stair to tell them off !!!

I think kids nowadays are taller . I am well was 5.6 Oh 5.11 Son 6.1 and daughter 5.10 I am the shrimp. Germaine x

My eldest 6ft 2nd son 6ft 5 daughter 5ft 5 & still growing son, who is 12yrs, 5ft 4, still growing Me 5ft 3, hubby 5ft 10.Don't know where they get it from :))

My boy is growing like you would not believe! and as i'm only 5.2'..he is going to tower over me! No doubt.

my youngest child, 11 her father is 6ft too, myself and daughter were getting ready for a party last week, she walked in the bedroom, with not only my shoes on but my makeup i stood up and went to tell her off, i just burst out laughing as she was actually taller than me, in a way it was nice to see her borrowing my stuff as eldest was such a tomboy she borrowed her dads clothes .

I have two at 5'7' and a 6 footer, OH is 6 foot, I am nearly 5 foot....grandson 10 is nearly my height.....everyone seems taller than me......but I don't mind really....

Not saying i'm short but when i pick my mini me up from school i have to stand in exactly the same place everyday cos otherwise he can't see me in amongst all the other kiddies, wouldn't mind but they're only primary age!!!!

Take your daughter shopping and ask if she likes the items of clothing if not buy it she will never wear it ......haha

found a book!!!... if your a girl of 8 you are all ready 77.5% of your adult height if a boy you are 72% of adult height

wonder what age they stop growing i dont expect my yougests mouth to stop growing, gawd she comes back at ya with chat back, she certainly dont take after me lol.

Sorry ..the book says!!! girls stop at 17 and boys at 19!!! but what child grows by the book??
