Hi Everyone I just want to say thankyou from my family and myself, for all the prayers, and positive thoughts you have all given. I am so pleased to tell you that when I went in to see Dad this afternoon, he was sitting up in bed talking to Mum and a couple of cousins, joking and being his cheeky old self. I walked into the room and Mum looked at me and said yes hes back. They have put a restraint on him as he played up a bit last night and wanted to get out of bed and go home, he hates hospitals at the best of times :-) As soon as he can accept he has to stay there til better they will remove it, but he is not stressing out about it, and he now knows he is in hospital, which he didnt last night. A couple of small memory issues, but that will sort itself out in time. So once again thankyou one and all. Cheers Sue

Dad is breathing on his own although he is still very vague, he looks at us as if he doesnt recognise us, just a blank look, and when asked if he knows where he is he keeps on saying yes and gives his home address, hopefully his memory will come back over the next couple of days,

prayers and thoughts are with you and yours, think positive my dad had a heart attack 3 wks ago and is doing well now, just to add I am in nursing, he is in the best place, they will look after him hugs ann xx

Sue, hope things are improving with your dad and he is responding more to the treatment. Take care of yourself as you will need your strength to help out when he comes home. Liz

I just rang hospital to see how Dad went during the night. they have taken him off the sedation, he is responding to sound by eyes flickering but not obeying comands as yet, but I think the signs are good. His blood pressure has dropped a little so they keeping check on it. David ended up staying home from work as I think he also had a bad night. I did go back to bed and had a bit of a sleep, I dont know if I was dreaming or what but woke up once with my heart rate racing, but it settled down, thank god. Mum has also rang hospital twice so I guess she didnt have a great night neither, Im going to go into the hospital early this morning. Once again thankyou all for your thoughts and prayers, hopefully I will have some good news when I come home.

Thanks everyone for your positive thoughts and prayers. I went to bed but keep seeing him laying there with all the tubes etc, so I got back up, and made a coffee, Im hoping Mum is getting a couple of hours sleep.
