Prince William has split from his girlfriend Kate Middleton. The couple had been under intense media pressure since they met at St Andrews University, Fife, in 2001, BBC royal correspondent Peter Hunt said. The prince's move to an army camp in Dorset, with Miss Middleton continuing her life in London, is also said to have put a strain on the relationship. |

The media pressure for this poor girl must have been awful for them both, i hope they can resolve this in private. I would hate to see another Diana mania as it was fast becoming for Kate. Donna |

Its a shame if its the Media who have done this. Diana too was subjected to so much and it must a be a VERY strong person who can ride with it, It seems the Media love to raise someone up only to have their joy ( for circulation purposes) to bring them down again, I would hate to have my life under such a spotlight. I seem to remember Penny, a few months ago, some guy ordering mugs to be made for William and Kate, and everyone was asking what he knew......I wonder what he is going to do with all that pottery.... |

It isn't really any of our business. The couple had a fling at Uni. They were no different to thousands of others in their place. Back to real life and reality kicks in. Hope they both keep fond memories of each other. |

I think its more to do with the fact that he was not looking to commit properly in the near future and next thing he is appearing in the papers with his hand on young ladies boobs. Considering the pressure she has recieved from the press I wouldn't blame her dumping him which is problably what happened. |
