Yes we have an open fire and in the winter it is lovely takes a few minuts to clean and get going but nothing nicer when it is cold and windy. Germaine x

*Tip* for reducing ironing... Shake everything really well before hanging on washing line....or use your dryer and do not leave said articles inside for very long after drum has stopped moving.. My Mum irons SOCKS fgs...lifes too short init?

I always write with a fountain pen. Can't abide biros. My mates think I am a fruit cake but my school taught me to write with one and I am far more comfortable with a fountain pen even if my hands are mostly covered in ink!!!! I would never iron a tea towel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol xx

Ironing tea towels, making jam.chutney and pickles from allotment produce. Home baking of all sorts.
