I have just had a letter offering my a job interview!!! OMG... Havent worked for 10 years (bringing up my family) and therefore havent had an interview for nearly 20 years... Have applied for lots of jobs in the past 12 months - all with the thanx but no thanx... AND its at my old secondary school... omg. Clare x

Thank you Pauline.... I opened the letter an hour ago now, and am STILL shaking.... I feel I'm gonna have to tip out my wardrobe to find something (not mummsy-fied) to wear... WOT do you wear?!?!!? OMG Clare x

Hi Clare Do you know someone who could give you a mock interview? I had my first proper interview for about 20 years last week & really didn't feel I sold myself!! If I had a practice run at least I might have been able to think & talk better!! Penny

Oh dont...at least its taking my mind off it tho.... just put a chicken in the oven to cook, and it took me half hour to realise that I had the oven on grill!!! Wondered why the kitchen was filling up with smoke!! lololol!! Clare x

Claire you'll be fine Years after I left secondary and was married dad went to work at my old school and one of the teachers was still there told my dad all the tales about me and my friend, well at least I made a lasting impression lol d x

Well done you for getting this far! Make sure you do your research - know as much as you can about the school - have a look at the ofsted reports and google the school name to find out about recent goings on (maybe you know these anyway if still in area?) What kind of post is it for? Make sure you know latest developments in teaching etc. Can never be too prepared! I always try to make sure I have at least one question to ask, even if I already know the answer - just makes it look as if you're interested. Good luck and keep us updated! Dawn
