Ann I am currently bidding on Ebay for the 3 chosen books and the one that got away in the voting, I read the description for the Memory Keeper's daughter and decided to bid for that aswell! I love books so don't mind buying more than I need! I'm not sure i will get them all read by the 10th July but I'll have a damn good try! alaina

I am having trouble getting The Observations, seem to be plenty of copies in the county libraries, all out on loan. Of course could get one full price £7.99 in Ottakers but would rather not do that so will have to go and reserve a copy and hope it comes in on time. Yes Dee struggling a bit with Jane Eyre, although past page 100 now and it has improved a little. just need to find time to sit and read for a longer length of time, this is not a 'pick up, put down' book. have a lovely holiday. thank you for explaining Michelle. lis, welcome, do join in. you can read one two or three of the books. the classic book has gone to a separate thread because fewer people wanted to read classics so we are keeping them apart. The Boleyn Inheritance was a clear winner (mainly I think because we had read the book that preceded it, although it will stand alone). There was a tie for second place between The Memory keepers daughter and The Observations so we had to have a deciding vote and The Observations by Jane harris won. Books to be read by and reviewed on 10th July 07. Ann Glos

Lis - Yes there are two ordinary books, the second vote was for The Observations and The Memory Keeper's Daughter as both were in second place on the first vote. The two ordindary books to read are - The Boleyn Inheritance and The Memory Keeper's Daughter. Michelle

I'm new here........don't quite understand the 'rules'. Previous message said 'clear win for Boleyn inheritance. Please vote again'. Are there two 'ordinary' books to be read, and are they Boleyn Inheritance and The Observations? Think I've understood that Jane Eyre is the classic. Please someone enlighten me, I'd like to join in. I suppose I didn't do so badly! My classic suggestion was chosen and I already have The Boleyn Inheritance, would have been nice to get the jackpot though. The last two let me down!!!!!! Ann Glos

Michelle Report 31 May 2007 10:53

I hope it's The Observations (lol) as I got that from the Library today. Some naughty person was supposed to have returned The Boleyn Inheritance on April 17th, though have it reserved at the neighbouring branch of the library to come over for 7th of June. Michelle
