I'd always wondered why Charles didn't marry Camilla in the first place....I know why now,but doesn't it seem such a silly,old-fashioned reason in this day and age?! Sandra. xxx |

I thought our constitution stated that the Monarch was defender of the faith and could not be divorced. But then what do I know. Rules and laws seem to change to suit someone's convenience. |

If he couldn't marry Camilla way back because she wasn't a virgin, what i would like to know is, how on earth would any one in the 'firm' have found out? Tricia |

All royal marriages are arranged, she wasnt deemed suitable because she wasnt a virgin , diana was picked and tested to make sure she was , he loved camilla but wasnt allowed to marry her the only one who had the guts to fight for the woman he loved was edward and he had to abdicate and live in exile , That is why so many have affairs because they cant marry who they want to princess margaret wasnt allowed to marry who she wanted to either. He is happy with camilla and diana knew the situation when they married she thought she could change him but unfortuantly she couldnt. It will make no difference to any of us who becomes king or queen its just a new head on our coins. lorraine |

Technically, Charles was a widower when he married Camilla - she was a divorcee. This is why they did not actually marry according to the rites of the C of E. His sister was a divorcee when she remarried (her previous husband was still living) - she married according to the rites of the Church of Scotland. Jay |

It doesn't much matter whether we want them or nor - Charles will be King unless he dies before his mother. That's the constitution and we are stuck with it. I'd rather not have a monarchy at all. Couldn't stand Diana either. Gwynne |

He may be my King one day, in that I have no choice. She will never be my queen. Don't care what they call her!!!!!. Hilary. x |
