:-D :-D :-D <3 <3 <3 <3 :-D :-D :-D

Morning All :-D <3

It cannot make its mind up yet this morning, just grey :-(

Reading back from last night, I had a day of two halves.

Firstly I went to the Post Office to buy stamps. Beloved and I had a discussion before I went as I said I would be buying 2nd class stamps for Christmas Cards. He laughed and said I was getting tighter than a mouses bum! However, when I came back with two books of stamps, one 1st and one 2nd and asked how much he thought they cost, he was about £15 adrift. I rest my case :-D :-D

However, what goes around, comes around. Before I intended to come on here last night, I decided to put me tootsies into a bowl of water. As I said before, I am not safe to be out on my own. I managed to pour boiling water onto my foot, rather than in the bowl. :-0 :-0 :-0 I sat for the next few hours with an icepack on my foot. Still red this morning, but hopefully I can get a shoe on :-0 :-0

I am off to Click this morning (hopefully) to pick up a bottle of YSL Libre.

What goes around, comes around. ;-) ;-)

Have a good day Everyone <3 <3

Morning Maddie and everyone :-) <3

What are you like :-0
I hope your foot is not too painful today and you are able to get out as planned <3

The day is still deciding what to do, but it looks as if it might be OK if we can dodge the showers, that are forecast.

Don't blame you buying 2nd class stamps. That's how mine will be sent too, that is
apart from the ones being hand delivered if we happen to be going in that direction before Christmas.
Goodness knows what your beloved would think about that.
Overseas cards have already gone off at £3.40 a time for their stamp :-0 :-0

Good morning all :-D <3

Heaven’s above Maddie. Please take care. <3 <3

It’s bright and sunny here but I told OH it was froggy earlier. :-0 :-0

As for stamps I’m so slow getting going that I will have to bite on the bullet and raid the mattress :-0 :-0 ;-)
Have a good day everyone <3

Morning Maddie and Gwyn :-D :-D

you don't want to be pouring hot water on your trotters Maddie :-0
Tighter than a mouses bum? How polite :-) I would have said tics arse LOL

I make a huge saving on stamps ;-) :-D

I think I'm confined to barracks for the foreseeable. The cataract in my left eye has worsened rapidly so with the limited right one I'm not safe out either. I've been referred for surgery. :-(
On that cheery note..... the sun's shining, boo hiss :-|

Morning Gwyn, Von, Island and Fly <3 <3 <3 <3 :-D :-D :-D :-D

Gwyn, I just looked at my Christmas stamps to the US ....£3.40, I just got out the plastic and paid :-0 :-0

Von, it was froggy here... I couldn't see the other side of the Park :-0. Blue skies and sunshine now though :-D

Island, sorry to hear about your eye <3. Hope it can be sorted soon without too much discomfort to you <3

Afternoon all :-) <3

Bright and dry here but cold.

Hope your feet feel better soon Maddie <3

Don't talk to me about stamps. I have sent 8 abroad and I send around 50 in this country (only second class) but then had to buy some more 1st class stamps to keep in the house for birthday cards etc. All in all it was the best part of £100

It's no wonder a lot of people are giving up sending Christmas cards :-0

Afternoon everyone. :-D <3

Cold here but at least it has stayed dry.

Enjoyed the first of the Christmas lunches today - typical fayre - turkey followed by Xmas pud and white sauce then rounded off with coffee and mint choc. It was very tasty.

I am using all of the Christmas cards I had last year and have just about finished writing them out. it will be either hand deliveries or 2nd class stamps and luckily only two overseas ones as most people have decided that email greetings will be enough because of the cost of overseas postage.

Maddie, what Belle said - what are you like!?

Island, I hope your eyes improve following the cataract surgery. I know several people who have had their cataracts removed and all surgery has been successful.

I have foregone the usual gushing Xmas cards to son and daughter in favour of comic ones - my frivolity may well shock them even though my son usually favours sending comic cards for birthdays and Christmas.

Hunkering down for the night now - curtains and blinds closed and heating and telly on. :-)

Evening Joy :-D and thank you :-D

It's just one eye with cataract. The other had lens swopped 7 yeas ago, which made no difference as surgery did not fully restore my vision. So I hope there will be improvement in my 'good' eye or I'm stuffed.

Evening :-D <3 <3

Hope everyone is ok. <3

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your eye Island <3

The ice pack stopped the skin from blistering, so covered it with a lint dressing and I got my shoe on. I dunno, what a daft bat <3 <3

No 1 Son likes Marks bits and bobs, so a tin of shortbread and Percy Pigs and a few other bits cost about £15 and the postage is £25 :-0 :-0 :-0

Not stopping, we have an early start in the morning.

Nighty Night, sleep well, keep warm <3 <3 <3
