The ground was damp when I got up so it must have been raining but I never heard it. Never heard any fireworks either and I did not go to bed until after midnight.

Our local constabulary used to have a bonfire night special on 5th - they may still do so but I have not checked.

Edit: just checked and they are no longer doing so.

Overnight rain here too but it's looking to be a bit brighter now.
No fireworks here.
I shall wait until early afternoon before I venture out.
I could do with loading the green bin but the thought isn't inspiring me :-(

Just been reading the news. Two awful events one of which was close to home :-( :-(

Bright and sunny here and not too cold either.

I've been chopping vegetables half the morning for a big stockpot full of stew to go into portions in the freezer. Nice easy meals for later ;-) :-D

I'm late on parade today.

A sunny start soon changed to a dark and gloomy morning with heavy rain.
When we went into town there were huge puddles of water on many roads :-0
Later morning, the sun reappeared and shone brightly all day.

There used to be several organised bonfires with fireworks, but as Belle indicated, the insurance has halted them.

Kath, lots of work, but you will so enjoy the benefits of those meals not needing much to get them ready to serve in the coming weeks / months.

Early phone calls tonight, so I may miss Strictly :-| :-P
