Not out so early as you, but I went out for a walk earlier and it was just pleasantly warm with a gentle breeze. So nice.

Just read back. Interesting what you were saying about childhood illnesses.

The only thing I had was measles at about 5.
My sister, who I shared a bedroom with caught scarlet fever and went to hospital aged 3, but I never got it.
I never caught chicken pox when she did either nor from my 3 children, when they all got it :-S

Having been 'well' for most of my life, recent events came as a shock.

I've had a concrete lorry across my drive for the last 2 hrs :-|. The annoying thing is they never asked, I've already had words with the Builders :-|. If I go out I like to go out early it will too late and hot when they finish :-|

Beautiful day today.

For some reason I couldn't sleep last night (it wasn't to do with the heat) so I got up at 5-45am which is unheard of for me and now I feel as if the day is going to last forever.

If it wasn't for the carpet fitters coming I think I would be asleep by lunchtime :-D

How annoying, Belle :-|

We all know that renovations mean some disruption, but to just park and hinder your life is too bad.
Trouble is, this sets the tone for future neighbour relationships, which is sad.

Our neighbours politely asked for access through our side gate recently, so they could get their gutters cleaned. No problem and the man was soon gone having parked in front of their house, not ours.

You'll have to have an early night, Kath ;-)

It will be so good to see all the work finished, so that you can get your rooms straight again.

The people doing the echocardiogram aren't the ones to report back to me, but I did ask a few questions ;-)

Will have to wait for the proper report when the results have been passed to them and a decision is made. Telephone appointment from hospital is already booked.

Got some nectarines from Sparkles the other day, and we had a couple last night. They were glorious! We sat there like a couple of mucky pups with juice running down our chins. :-D :-D :-D

Back home now and under the cool of my sycamore tree. Thanks to my Dad for planting it 56 years ago <3

Gwyn - the room is finished now and just needs the furniture moving back in. My son and a mate of his are going to do it tomorrow. Maddie - I'm not paying Mr. Shifter when it's son's room and he is capable of moving it with a friend ;-)

When the decorator stripped the walls we found my name written on the wall with Aug. 1993 after it. That was the last time any decorating was done in this house and we did it ourselves back then - oh to be young and able again !!!

We've managed to get the three bedrooms done since hubby died and we've asked the decorator to book us in sometime before Christmas to do the hall, stairs and landing and also the front room (but they don't need papering - just painting.)

Nothing looks too much different but having white paintwork instead of old yellowing paintwork really makes a difference. The paint they use these days has very little smell so it's all good :-D

Funny you should say about writing something on the wall before papering over. I am sure we wrote something a bit saucy on our wall in our old house in about 1974/75. I wonder what the new owners thought! :-D :-D ;-)
