	Our town and some surrounding villages have big poppies on lamp posts. Thousands of poppies fall silently from the central tower of our cathedral at the end of its Festival of Remembrance.

	Our local Sainsburys always announces over the tannoy and pauses everything at 11 am on 11 November. I have already lost my poppy that I bought on Tuesday so I shall have to buy one again.

	Don't hold your breath names ;-) :-D :-D. I have just got back from laying a wreath at our local memorial and I am very honoured to do so. I am very disappointed too MG and disgusted too shame on GR. :-\|

	It isn't even on FMP! Caroline ............. maybe you're right, money counts! But I believe everywhere does have the Cenotaph Service on the 11th. Aha! From Google ........ Remembrance Day is essentially a statutory holiday in every province and territory with the exception of Manitoba, Ontario, Québec, and Nova Scotia. ----------- Banks, Canada Post and government offices are closed across Canada Schools are closed in BC, but shops and stores will be open as usual.
