Good morning, I am listening to the birds singing in the garden through the open patio doors, all very idyllic

OH is having a rest after cleaning the leaves out of all the drains at the bottom of the drain pipes, that was more smelly than idyllic :-D

Told you Princess was not too good and mum did a LF test on her...these are the tests used in secondary schools to test pupils and teachers twice a week.

Both tests came back negative. A letter is then sent out from her primary school to all parents..to keep their kids home if they have a cough etc.

THEY WILL NOT NOW ACCEPT RESULTS FROM A LF TEST AS PROOF OF THEIR CHILDS NON INFECTION. :-0 :-0 :-0

Bonkers.....so basically saying that the tests are inadequate....so why are they using them in schools.

Princess had to be taken to a testing centre this morning for a PCR test

Why bother with lateral flow tests if they think the results are nconsequential when the time comes?

Mind .... I was speaking with youngest sis yesterday and when she mentioned a friend having one, sis's OH said that they wouldn't show what's incubating!

Not checked with bro yet but if her OH is right, it's a waste of time asking schoolchildren to do one. :-0

The lateral flow tests are set at a certain level that only detects the virus when it’s got a hold. That’s why you get a lot of false negatives.
We need a better testing system and PCRs need to be readily available and cheaper.

Von, I haven't been inside a shop for more than a year now.

I am leaving it up to my OH to decide when he feels right about going inside anywhere because he is the one with the health problems so I think it's only fair to wait until he feels comfortable about it.

We have had several garden visits from and to friends and family though which he is happy about.

Ann, let us know how Alice gets on, please. I do hope she's OK. <3
